Dipl.-Ing. Jürgen Kolbe
Breslau 20.08.1942 – Munich 02.09.2022
Dipl.-Ing. Kolbe was renowned for his solid professional experience in major construction projects and risk analysis for the insurance industry, with experience in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and America. He distinguished himself for his enormous capacity for hard work, innovative spirit, ethical commitment and leadership in managing teams. Founder of Miller International, focused on providing technical solutions to the requirements of the reinsurance sector for the Latin American market.
In the insurance sector, Jürgen had the privilege of being active for more than four decades, until his last days, handling enquiries on Construction Risks and Claims for Dams, Tunnels, Bridges, Oil & Gas facilities, Power Generation, Marine, Business Interruption, Business Interruption, Lost Profit and Mining, from all countries in the Latin American region
Jürgen raised a beautiful family, and was able to enjoy his grandchildren. He was a nature lover. As a philanthropist he supported conservation initiatives, environmental education and the dissemination of classical music, in all countries where Miller International has operational offices. He was a nature lover. He was passionate about the sea and sailing. He had a great heart for pets.
Those of us who have had the privilege of working alongside him for decades will remember him as an experienced Company Captain, who fostered the professional training of new generations of both Loss Adjusters and Risk Surveyors, committed to the principles of Integrity, Competence and high ethical values.
